I never thought i say this but...

wait that was a whole load of bullcrap, of course one day i would say it...

anyway, i'm leaving blogger and moving on to a new place, a new beginning, a new environment. a new- okay, can't take this shit anymore. honestly, it's not even that much of a change because i am simply moving to:

seriously, i just changed with blog service i used, that's all. and anyway, my archives have all been painstakingly loaded ONE BY BLOODY ONE into the new tumblr, so i don't have to worry about leaving all this shit behind.

reasons for the change are:

1) Blogger is being very badly run and very disgraceful neglected by Google.

bloggers whom actually use Blogger know can practically see the half-hearted-bullshit dripping from the screen. Not to mention, it can only show like max two large posts, which i think is really majorly shitty. And the archives are totally screwed beyond recognition.

2) to be honest, getting sick of Blogger. been here considerably long, got bored, so change lor.

3) Google is like on this "let's randomly delete blogs" rampage and are just simply deleting random blogs and markign them as "spam". and i sure as hell am not going to stick around and wait for the day mine is deleted and i start crying.

BUT

not to be all ungrateful. do appreciate what Blogger.com has provided for me these two years but it's time to move on.

SPORTS DAY AT TOA PAYOH FOR MY 6th YEAR IN THE ROW! OMG.

Actually this years sports day was fun, without lacking in fun times and even better camwhoring. Normally the previous sports day were fun, but they all had their moments of mind blowing boringness that made me feel like puking and running screaming my head off to the milo truck and drinking the whole damn vehicle. Except this years one was so much FUN :) Maybe its an upper sec thing? Between cheering for my class so much til i needed to shit, camwhoring with the 1se babes and cheering for C-H-O-I-R, i can safely say it was the best.sports.day.ever. But maybe, its because of justin bieber's song. HAHA.

Did i mention my love for nicole and her ever filled lunchbox. Nicole you are the best and me and Gale are your undying fans.

Happiest Afternoon in a Damn Long Time.

Went to Nicole's house and it was damn frigging fun. Funnest i've ever had in a damn long time, feel very happy :) Played Guitar Hero the whole day and i love love love the game. its like damn fun la. I feel like some rocker dude with a million screaming funs la. Especially all the drums, with my awesome (haha) drum solo.

Quote of the day people, quote of the friggin day. OMG, i don't think i had ever felt such a delightful combination of feelings in my life. I felt: like i was going to puke, like my head was spinning, like i had just endured the 27 days obs course. Perfect, peachy, like a cupcake. Okay but seriously, friggin tiring. Sec one was sooooo much more relaxing and chill, this is like Transformers-Megatron XRRRRXXXV shit la.

My class was in charge of this beautiful thing called ZORBBALL. Basically it's like a hamster ball. Except the people inside don't move, WE PUSH THEM. We. Push. Them. I'm sorry people, but it's just damn frigging heavy, and we were out there the whole day pushing for the life of us until i thought i was going to go mad. I'm not even exargerating or being some bloody bimbo. No, i'm not kidding. Picture a shitload of rice stuffed into a ball with a diameter twice your height. Yup, it's the heavy and more. Imagine pushing that up and down a field, more than 200 frigging times.

Went to the ACJC Carnival with Xuan, Florence and the wonderful person that ~~shamelessly cheated~~ kindly invited us to the Carnival (haha, Jamie i'm joking, it wasn't that bad. hahaah) Sorry guys, i know i was late, long story (at the moment of this post). Anyway met around 2-ish and started walking around and saw Charissa And Sonia (above picture).

Went out to do this miny celebration for Gale yesterday. It wasn't much (sorry Gale!), was kinda screwed (me and long got scammed, too angry to talk about it) but all the same, hope Gale had fun :) Anyway, went to Pepper lunch to eat first then after that went to watch Diary of a Wimpy Kid which i thought was damn funny la.

Go watch it, i think it's friggin hilarious. And the book is much nicer than the movie. Means that the book is even more awesome than awesome. No seriously, go read it, then watch it. :D

I Love You, Ah Ma, and I'm Sorry

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. But it doesn't make things any easier.

Grandma passed away last Friday in the morning. I was still at school. It wasn't like i didn't see it coming. Her health was deteriorating since CNY, something about dehydration. She was admitted into the hospital about two weeks before friday, for dehydration. DEHYDRATION. She entered the hospital for dehydration and she never came out. Why? Apparently, her condition worsened and they found out she had lung infection, then her kidney started failing. The doctors had to put her on 100% oxygen supply. By then, I knew. Everyone knew.

The doctor predicted that some of the oxygen would seep into her skin. And it did. Apparently, towards the last few days of her life, her entire body was so bloated she was beyond recognition. My cousin, whom was in KL at that time, walked into the room and thought she entered the wrong room. SHE THOUGHT SHE ENTERED THE WRONG ROOM. My mum said it was a blessing in disguise that i wasn't there to see Grandma at her worse.

Yup, I didn't get to see my grandma one last time before she passed away, and i guess that is something I will live with for the rest of my life. If it had just been a few more hours... That was the worse part, i didn't get the chance to hold her hand one last time or give her a kiss. Shit, now i'm crying again. By the time I got to the funeral parlor, it had been a few hours after her death. I went to the coffin and i just started crying. Because she looked nothing like the Grandma I knew. She looked like a completely different person and I looked at her and I knew how much she had suffered in the hospital. And even that, was after her death. I can't even imagine how she looked before.

Her funeral was very grand, it took up about 3 lots. There were over a hundred flowers sent and quite a few banners, a lot of people came to pay their respects. It was a grand send off, with all of her many descendents there to say good bye. Glad that she got a proper funeral.

I didn't really communicate much with my grandma growing up, and there were times when i actually had the gall to be impatient with her. But through it all, grandma was always damn nice to me, never scolded me, and when i was young, i remember sitting on her laps in her old house in Malacca. Even this year, i remember how happy Grandma was everytime her grandchildren came over to visit her.

I owe my grandma so much that can never be repaid, and i can't believe i only realized that now, after she's gone.

I love you, ah ma, and i am sorry.

Marble Slab & Fries Overload (!!!) with the Awesomes

I finally satisfied by 2-month-long marble slab craving. When to Marble Slab with gale, quek, xuan, becky and mel after the Prize Giving Ceremony (which i don't think i even want to talk about ~~for fear of convulsing with anger/irritation/plain exasperation for the ridiculous and unreasonable and pure idiotic and un- thought out new "discipline" system that is pure shit~~). I ate a humongous amount of overflowing bubblegum ice cream mixed with caramelized biscuits. Freaking good and got my tastebuds hooked like dunno what. Other people got stuff like cheesecake, rocher, birthday cake ...etc... Tried to try, but my tastebuds went haywire from too much bubblegum awesomeness.

I did. Within the cup.

Then after that we want over to Macs where each one of us went to buy a medium carton of fries and we sat down an ate it. OMG, LIKE FRIGGIN OMG, the amount of salt they put on the fires is OUT OF CONTROL, like Gale picked up one fries and you could see the oil and salt crystals VERY DISTINCTLY on the damn fry. Shit lah, damn addictive, but its like poison. But you just keep eating it. After that, we all felt a bit bloated and gross and sick. Go figure. Hahaahahaha!

OBS 2010 (Ants are Bitches)

Day 1:

We arrived at the tent/briefing area at pongol by a bus from school.

In the bus, filled with excitement and nervousness.

Meet my watch's (Tenzing) instructor, his name is Zhi Wei, but we call him teddy. :)

From Pongol, we sat a short ferry ride towards Palau Ubin, the island where we would be for the next 5 LONG days.

Finally reached OBS Camp 2.

We had a short group meeting and briefing, where we had to sit down and think of our expectations for the week.

As well as stuff like our Tenzing SONG :D

Then we went to our store where we cleaned and packed all our equiqment to get it ready for the week.

And sorted out our crazy much rations.

After our lunch, we had NAVIGATION LESSONs. Sort of some kind of precourser to the tougher more intense activities later on.

Today in the morning had a short kayaking lesson and stuff and we kayaked from camp 2 over to camp 1. Partnered with Chan and we had a blast man. Like dunno why, kayaking was damn fun and very smooth for us, even though we got carried away with the breeze and kayaked in the swarm, like literally.

Bright and early, woke up and unpitched our tents.

The bags weighed like a friggin shitty ton. Like NEVER complaining about helping my mum carry the 10kg rice EVER AGAIN. I think that's probably why some people got quite frustrated and tired.

We finally arrived at Camp 3, which is not a camp at all. More like a shithole from hell.

Day 4:

The night before, my watch had the most horrible of fates happen to us. We had an ants infestation and all our bags were SWARMED by ants. We stayed up late into the night cleatring everything and trying to get everything sort out. I think that was really stressing point for EVEYTONE.

Woke up at 5 and prepared for the sea expedition. LIKE OMG, tired man. Screamed at people to keep in formation and keep paddling for 6 hours. Really tiring and very satisfying at the end of it all.

Went we got back to Camp 1, we did the jetty jump. Cool shot of Teddy demonstrating the jump.

At night, after everyone had bath and were feeling much happier and light and less shitty, we started cooking our dinner. It was one of the MOST fun we had, the mood was light and everyone was joking and just having fun.

Day 5 was when all the nostalgia kicked in and everyone started feeling like they were going to miss OBS. Woke up and packed up all our stuff. Then we had a super long debrief and it was really emotional, like not kidding.

Gift for one of our instructors, Vincent: HE STOLE OUR CEREAL THE NIGHT BEFORE! He was acting all discreet, hoping we wouldn't notice lah. Like while we were cooking he came in and he was all "hey girls, how's the cooking going. Oh, it looks goods........say, do you guys want your cereal?" Too SHARP FOR YOU VINCENT! hahaah So we decided to give him our last packet of cereal as a parting gift, since he loves it so much he would even go to the extent of stealing from his own watch. BTW, who took a photo of TEDDY's Present? Can you upload it on facebook asap!!!!

REFLECTIONS:

(Like omg, longest part of the entry coming up)

OBS for me was one of the toughest things I have done in my life. I cannot deny that my life is a very pampered one and I have never had to go through any really suffering in my life. Growing up, I was never in lack of anything, I was never made to feel any sense of deep longing for anything. Really, i have a blessed life. A part of me knew that, but it was only until OBS did I truly truly realize that, in my heart, mind, bones, limbs, eyes....etc...

OBS was for i truly got to know what exhaustion ad frustration really means. It really pushed me to my limits and tested my mental and physical strength. There were times when I felt so dreadfully homesick that the urge to cry was almost impossible to resist, and there were times I felt so angry and fed up that i had to seriously calm myself down and think about whether i really wanted to say something as hurtful as what i intended to to another person. There were times when I felt like giving up. I am amazed I made it through, like seriously.

But there were also time when I felt so accomplished and proud of myself that I felt like screaming out and cheering at the top of my voice. There were times I felt so grateful and together and bonded with my watch members I got a super warm and fuzzy feeling inside. And there were time when I felt like my muscles would break off but my spirit was stronger than ever. I am amazed I didn't go begging for more.

Basically, OBS had its highs and its low. And sometimes, it got REAAREEEEEAAAAALLLLY low. But at the end of it all, I truly believe you come out of it and better, stronger, more resilient person. I learnt a lot of myself and others and camp wilderness knowledge. I have made new friends, rekindled old ones and strengthened the bonds of current ones. I have gain new insight on what is respect, cooperation, unity, independence and all the fuzzy crap you always here about but never really understand.

I have gained confidence in my own abilities and in others and a newfound appreciation for my friends and family and everything I have. And I am really grateful for that. During OBS, I questioned alot of things and reflected on so much and have been so immensely inspired that i times i felt like maybe i was at some inspirtation mojo camp rather than OBS.

OMG, I am totally ranting like some mad, inspired, i-can-do-it, bullshit person right now right? I am.

But the thing is, OBS was definitely hard, but it was necessary for me to really pause for a while, take a step back and take a good look at my life and see what I needed to see. I am really really grateful I had this chance and I took it. One of the things that we had to do in the camp was to write down a commitment that we pledged to do once we got back to the real world. We were supposed to write it down on a dry leaf and then tear it apart to seal the vow.

I wrote "TOLERANCE AND SENSITIVITY". Because I realized, looking back, that i get easily frustrated and judgmental with people and I am not one to think through my words carefully and as I result I always hurt people around me. Like in OBS, I sort of said some very harsh things to one person. I don't really regret saying it, and if given the chance I would not stop myself from saying them, because I said those things for a purpose, not to hurt her, but it was my way of trying to help her. I DO NOT REGRET IT, BECAUSE I KNOW I HAD GOOD INTENTIONS. But all the same, i realize and acknowledge it was not the right thing to do. It's all in the past, nothing more i can do to change it. But the point is, I am going to try to be a more sensitive person and be more aware of other people and their feelings. I sort of got emotional while explaining this to my watch and I started crying. LIKE OMG, EMBARASSING MUCH.

Anyway, about my watch. Tenzing is AMAZING. Like literally, everyone works together and pitches in, everyone contributes to the group to make it so much better and keep improving. I couldn't have asked for a more bonded and fun group. We did everything together. And when you work together with a certain group of people for everything for so much for a period of time, there is this unspoken bond formed and I think it is impossible to erase. That's how I feel about Tenzing. TENZING YOU GUYS ROCK, I LOVE YOU! In fact, i'm gonna list you guys out!

Met up with the peeps for "Valentines Day" movie. It was very rush lah, cause everyone released at different time and stuff. So we didn't get to eat a proper lunch .:( Yeah, but managed to catch the movie in time. It was quite a funny movie, with it's moments of glory, but overall no storyline lah. Choir people - Choir has been really damn fun, and a hella lot better than my sec 1 cca. Hahaha. Like, you guys accepted me and didn't treat me like whatever even though i was some extra shit person that just suddenly appeared and i am really grateful for that, you guys were really awesome for that. 3PR / Scream City - So it's only been like one half months but already you can tell like there is this sort of bond there. And scream city like clicked in one week only even though before that many of us didn't even talk to the other a single time, like we just started talking and didn't stop. 3PR is gonna be a really awesome class, i can tell from the auntie cheers (aun-tie, clap clap, aun-tie, clap clap). And even though we are like kinda small, like 31 (onese people alone make up 1/6 of the class. HAHA, inside joke), we crunch as One :) and i'm having so much fun, more than i ever expected. 2GY Friends - You guys know who you are. Chevelle, Fionna, Georgia, Yun Ru, Yamini, Marie Ann (chocolate peanut butter cookies!), Sarah, Pheobe, and OF COURSE, ADA (a.k.a. ADA). And obviously, the onese people whom helped me through a difficult sec 2 year without going insane (becky, val, tann wei, phyllis). Between planning "Ada, I love you" (a romantic comedy with a touch or horror!) and having water fights at car wash (hey girls, bends to pick up car keys) and complaing about everything and anything ( "fine, i'll just go to bloody dubai and buy my wallet instead!) and laughing at Mdm. Wong in home ed ("Kai, where you really going to turn the lighter towards Mdm. Wong's hair??" "Not now Val, we are getting scolded by Mdm. Wong."), you guys pretty much rock and i'm sorry it only took me like the last month of the year to start appreciating the class. Happy valentines day. :)

Okay so yay! Victoria Ong finally got round to uploading photos. :D Anyway, on Saturday, met up with Victoria and Val to watch movie. Actually were supposed to watch New York, I Love You, but cause it was NC16 and stuff so...oh well. So we ended up watching this movie called "Brothers" which sounded like there was so potential and all. Guess we were kinda bumbed but we went in and sat down and my first thought was, "what the @#$%.... New York I Love You is NC16 and this is not?!"

When to Shokudo's Pasta and Pizza for lunch, well, not really, didn't really even eat anything. Just camwhored.

Then Val came after Guides.

Oh well, damn it, I want my own professional camera. COOL SHIT.

But in all truth, Brothers was actually an amazing movie. Didn't expect it to be so deep and emotional, thought it would be one of those flops that no one actually bothered watching. But you know what, people should bother watching it. It was honestly really good. VERY emotional and a bit like affecting, like it gets to you, psychologically. When it was over, i was like WOW. Yup, see the trailer, a lot of heart wrenching moments. After the movie was over, the three of us were like damn quiet. haha, whole cinema like stunned.

HELLO 2010! MY NAME IS KAI LIN. LET'S BE FRIENDS!

I feel like this blog is like a child i brought up for 2 years, then abandoned.

A CHILD! Geddit?! Okay i'm going crazy. Well, it's not because i got sick of it (the blog), or that i was running out off money (energy) to buy new clothes (post new updates) for it, or that i got tired of cleaning it's poo and pee (changing html, hosting photos) or that it kept throwing tantrums (blogger screwing me over, refusing to upload my photos, not saving my drafts) or that some stupid child welfare officer douchebag didnt let me see my child (my computer and internet crashing on me, denying me access to blogger, OH WAIT, maybe it might be because of that.) NO! It wasn't because of all these things.

IT WAS SIMPLY BECAUSE I HAD NOTHING TO SAY TO THE CHILD.

Okay i'm talking bull now, but the point is, the reason i've not been blogging, practically since 9th jan, and some of you would know that i usually post every week AT THE LEAST, is because i haven't really had anything bombastic or remotely interesting to the human brain to write about.

Sure, I mean, there are like the occasional class antics in my new (and kinda kick ass) class, 3PR, but not big enough to blog about, like say... SOMEONE PEED IN CLASS WHILE MR LAU WAS TALKING ABOUT SPA. Nope, nothing so sadistically funny happened, so yeah. But anyway, speaking of my new class 3PR, i am kinda happy i got into this class. My class has like the most scholars in the level (11) and the other 21 are local, but theres absolutely no problem with this, in fact i think eveyone gets on farely well, if not, really well. Made some new friends, ended up with some old friends (Can you say "1SE"?) and yeah lah. I think i kinda really like my class. EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT SOME BLOCKHEADS (cough youknowwhoyouguysare ) SEEM TO THINK I'M A SCHOLAR. Well, their just jealous of my petrifyingly amazing intelligence.

And i ended up with 5 1SE'ians and we make up 1/6 of the class. Awesome or awesome, so no more running back to class after recess in panic cause at least if you get scolded, you get scolded together. Misery loves company and all that jazz.

Also, i realize that I have actually started to mug and study more (INSERT HUMONGOUS SHUDDER HERE). I don't know why, i just feel compelled to be more serious and interested in my studies, i'm going crazy i know. But yeah i do. And i actually pay attention in class now, instead of just drifting through class and counting the minutes til the lesson end only to repeat the whole process again like some dimwitted chunk of wood. Yeah, i gues it's not only me, everyone's really getting serious about their studies. No wonder they say you lose a life when you reach sec 3.

But ah well, i'm not going to let that happen. Cause i am actually looking forward to a lot of FUN AND EXCITING THINGS bound to happen this year.

For one, the SC CARES Carnival, I am super excited for the damn thing to happen, it was loads of fun in 2008 with onese and i was kinda hoping the school would do it again like before i leave in 2012 to go whereever you go after sec school. AND IT'S HAPPENING BABES! Yeah, then there's talk about my clas putting up a gladiater fighting stall starring the one and only KIMBERLY LONG, OMG damn funny, me and gale laugh until collapse on the floor. I'll take a picture of the blueprints of the plan and post it soon, WATCH THIS SPACE. Believe me you'll laugh like shit.

Then there's like a shitload of people getting married this year, i mean, just this weekend alone my family attended THREE wedding. Three, as in the number that is between one and two. IN A WEEKEND. Imagine that!

And of course there's going to be the Choir Trip and Choir Concert, i think it's going to be really fun and an enriching experience. There, i used the word enriching. But honestly, looking forward to it.

Oh yeah, and i'm actually going to learn German this year! How (another less cliched word than exciting) ! Anyway, have actually been meaning to pick up a new language and i finally realized that i actually am quite interested in German and their cultures and people and stuff. I mean, come on, i was part of a group of people whom CHOSE to do their project on Hitler and his Chicks. And i was the one more interested in the way the charactors spoke German and how it differed from English than the actual plot when Ms Chow let us watch the German movie "De Wielle". So, yeah, i'm going to give it a try.

Hmm, what else it there? Oh yeah, i've finally decided to start writing again. Not like blogging or writing letters or notes or post-its to friends and stuff. Nothing of that sort. Like really writing. Like sit down in front of computer and open a Word Document and write stories. The last time I did that was in Sec 1, then in sec 2, i stopped, i lost interest like i did many others things in sec 2. But i decided i would start writing again, cause i realize i actually do like it, the feeling when you get a sentence written just right, or when you found the perfect word and all that random fuzzy shit authors say about writing BUT THE POINT IS: i'll start writing again. I'm not expecting myelf to become like some awesome writers and have my book produced into a movie, i am NOT so daft and dimwitted and brain damaged to be so conceited, i just wanna start writing for myself lah, i know i'm not even any good, i Just like writing lah, Also cause it's kinda some kind of universally acknowledge intellectual hobby or whatever crap. Yeah. Okay. This topic's getting awkward, let's move on.

Oh yeah, speaking of last year. I realize really how tough of a year it was. I went through alot of emotional ups and downs and I really lost my confidence in many many things. I lost interest and faith in ALSO many things and i guess i was kinda starting to resent myself and life for a bit. I took it out on everything and anything in my life and i kinda realized now that i was SHORTCHANGING myself and i really don't want that to happen again this year, so from now on I will try to keep things into perspective and be more optimistic and more thankful and content. To treasure what i do have, and to ignore what i don't.

But last year wasn't all THAT BAD, i made some friends, learn new knowledge, gained more insight into the random person that was me, bonded more with my family and kept my old friendships. The experiences that i have gained last year, i'm sure, will not be forgotten, and i have learnt much from them, and even if i did, i have gained at least something from it. An extra laugh on a rainy day? Something to reminise about when life gets lonely? Oh well.

I realize that by now this is slowly evolving into those random reflection posts, i think it kinda is, but oh well, since i'm already so far in, i might as well as finish it of truly and fittingly the way all new year posts should be: with thanks.

I thank my family for letting me stay in the house even though they don't really have a choice and cause i'm messy and lazy and kinda pissy and unreasonable if i want to be, and cause i know how to make some biting and sarcastic remark that makes them want to slap me all the way to Canada. I thank the 1se people for still being so close and having this unspoken bond that will always be there no matter who we become and where we go, you guys have been like a second family to me, i honestly, NO BULLSHIT AND FALSE CRAPPING HERE, feel that way. I LOVE YOU GUYS (PLATONICALLY). I thank all my friends and previous classmates and my schoolmates, for making SCGS such an amazing school, except for the communist songs they insist on playing every morning as if we are like some circus trained singing banshees whom respond well to music therapy. I thank all the other amazing people here and there that have helped made this world a special place for me, i may not remember you anymore, or that i maybe don't talk to you as much anymore, but i am grateful all the same.

29th December

There we were, three normal people on the bus after choir, on our way to Macs at Serene, when all of a sudden, inspiration hit us like a raging ball of dung on fire and we were like "let's go orchard and watch a friggin movie!". And we did. At first it still a little bit sane when we wanted to go watch Sherlock Holmes, but then like ~~possesed fools~~ lightning, it was suddenly all "LET"S GO WATCH ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS ANNOY US WITH THEIR SQUEAKY VOICES AND TRANSEXUAL (rachelle's word) SISTERS/GIRLFRIENDS!" So we did. And it was interesting. Okay firstly, they ended up coupling up with each other, when hello, they look like brothers and sisters?! And Charice was in a competition with them and they won. Charice lost to them?!?! She lost to their squeky little voices. Oh well, the movie wasn't really fantabulous but I still had fun, minus the movie part. So yeah, haha, thank Chan and Rachelle.

30th December

Had a lot of time to kill before going to the dentist so ended up going to Plaza Sing with Charissa. We went to Daiso to buy props of the Orientation performance then we ate Burger King. Then went to Carrefour where she bought her pink FBTs and guess what, I FOUND THE PRETIEST MOUSE I HAD EVER SEEN (pictured above). SO CUTE RIGHT???!! YEah, i bought it. HEehee,

after that went for desert at Swensons with Chan where she ate her chewy chocolate sundae thing and I ate waffles with ice cream. :D WE GOT BLACKLISTED. I guess cause we kept complaining the service sucked and we stared at people weirdly and we requested a seat change and practically all the waiters and waitresses were fussing over that. FRIGGIN HILARIOUS. Had fun :D

Anyway, this year my family came the closest we have gotten to celebrating christmas. Our cousins joined us, together with my uncle for like a Christmas eve dinner at my house.

Today for Christmas, we ended up watching Sherlock Holmes the movie. I tell you, the movie is really really really good. It is super funny, with a lot of dry humour and the plot is kind of actually good and how it all works out and the clues and the mystery is so brilliantly concealed that at the end you kind of forget how ridiculous the villian is and actually find it kinda awesome. Yeah, Robert Downey Jr. acted supremely well, did a damn good job, love his character in that show. Anyway, wanna watch it? Definitely man, go right away. :D

"New Moon" With Alethea

Hee hee, finally went to watch New Moon with Alethea. Haven't seen her in so long so had a lot of catching up to do. New moon was kind of really sucky, it's full of Jacob crap and so little Edward awesomeness, and the ending was supremely anti climatic. When Edward asked Bella to marry him, then she gasped, and the movie ended. I only super super interesting part was when she was racing to save Edward and when they were with the Voltouri, yup, but it was better than i expected. I expected it to be super crappy with all that Jacob shit, but oh well, at least the movie fast forwarded his parts damn alot. :D

We had it at the botanic gardens. :D At first it was raining so we went to this shelter to play this really stupid game called Balderdash, me and gale would have won had it not been for the tie with Chan and Phyllis.

Anyway, after the rain let up, went to some verandah thing, it was really pretty and we stayed there for like damn long playing taiti and blackjack and pictionary.

Turkey Trip 2009

I'm back from Turkey people! And i just spent approx. 3 hours just uploading and editing photos. So tired now. Anyway, Turkey was actually quite fun, except that it's really cold and the food sucks. Thank god Becky warned me to bring cup noodles. Oh but i do love the apple tea there. :D When with a tour group and we traveled everyday and changed hotels every night, was quite tiring after a while, so glad to be back to rest..

Day 1: ISTANBUL - BURSA

Over there at Turkey, there is damn alot of this street stalls selling bagels, it's very popular over there i guess.

Wwnt to the Blue Mosque it's really big on the inside and it's made up of thousands of blue tiles, looks quite cool actually.

After that, we walked down to Topkapi Palace, once the seat of the Ottoman Empire.

We finally got to our first lunch which marked the start of thousands of other lunches with the same food. They always serve like meat/chicken kebab with Pita bread. Tastes quite nice, but sort of loses it's taste after a while.

Went on a ferry port in Eskihisar and took one to Topcular.

After travelling to Bursa, we went to the Silk Bazaar. It's basically this building full of shops selling silk and scarves. The like.

Day 2: BURSA - KUSADASI

We took a cable car ride up to the Uludag Winter Sports and Ski Centre, we were hoping for snow but it was damn little. Only certain areas had.

There were these wishing wells, like 3 of them and you were supposed to drink the water from it. Each was Wealth, HEalth and Love.

Wishing wall, people wrote their wishes and tied it to the wall with tissue.

After that we want over to Ephesus, one of the largest archeological sites in existense. Used to be this ancient Greek/Roman city. It look friggin grand and nice, like you can like totally imagine how it used to look like in all it's former glory.

Day 4: PAMUKKALE - KONYA - CAPPADOCIA

Went to the ancient city of Hierapolis and next to it, it's like this...dunno how to describe, it's like this place with these hot water running through it, like a tiny valley kind of thing, and the water there is very hot and nice.

So people start rolling up their pants and taking of their shoes.

And jump in.

It is friggin slippery cause you are actually standing on moss, so feels quite nice.

Anyway, after that, went to this Carpet factory where they showed us how to made carpets.

Then to the Underground City of Kaymake.

Day 5: CAPPADOCIA

Went for a hot air balloon ride. So exciting :D But lemme tell you, was freezing my ass of, whole body when numb.

Even had a certificate for completing the ride. Which in our case means, "congratulations, you have freezed your butt off!"

Day 6: CAPPADOCIA - ANKARA - BOLU

Went to visit Ataturk Mausoleum, final resting place of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, father of Modern Turkey.

Day 7: BOLU - ISTANBUL

Back to Istanbul, went to the Hagia Sophis Museum, once a church converted into a mosque then converted again into a musuem.

One of the biggest mosques in Turkey.

Had to climb up this damn long tunnel.

After that went to the Grand Bazaar, with over 400 stalls in this maze like arrangement.

All the shops and variety of local products there. Love the atmosphere there, damn lively and cheerful.

The shopkeepers over there are damn friendly and joke around super a lot. Also kinda camwhorish. When i walked past they were like "take picture of us. Take!" More involved in joking around then selling their goods.

Night time ,went to Kevansaray, it's like this belly dancing bar place.

Quite gross, like some belly dancers weirdly have tummy so when they do it's quite odd.

This blacksea group of dancers were damn ironic, they were introduced as LIVELY people, but they came out and looked like they were doing math.

Day 8: ISTANBBUL

Today was like my favourite day ever lah. It was a free day, so all we did was shopping. We went to Taxim Square, one of the most crowded places in Istanbul for SHOPPING.

Day 9: ISTANBUL - SINGAPORE

Went to the Spice bazaar, a super super small version of the Grand Bazaar, except they sell spices instead.

There was this one shopkeeper I was talking to whom was damn funny. He was like "where you from?" When i told him Singapore, he was like "you from SingaPOOR, i from SingaRICH." Then later on he told me "I have ceramics, cloth, spices...I have everything except customers." And when I was leaving, he said "i give you my card, then you can come back some other time." When i said okay, he gave me that. HAHAHA. Friggin funny dude.

After choir practice today, me, Rachelle, Victoria, Chan and Estelle went to Changi Airport ~~because we were possesed~~ for the Winter Wonderland event that was held in Terminal 3. What a load of bullcrap. Because in the end, we could not even do anything. Turns out the people in charge of Winter Wonderland had ~~ABSOLUTELY NO HOLIDAY SPIRIT~~ to follow some regulation to deny entry to anyone under 12. So, what a failed and wasted trip. Oh well, at least we had a nice lunch.

We look like we were raring to go, full of spirit and energy and like. Looks can be deceiving.

Finally ended up in Earl Swenson's, some other version of the Swenson's restaurant, the food is actually really good for some reason.

It was kinda fun i guess, minus off the complete waste of time it was.

"2012" With the Family

My sis came back yesterday :D from Australia. The four of us (my sisters and brother plus me) stayed up playing Cluedo last night, then we got tired cause nobody could get anywhere and started making up our own games with the board, that was a friggin disaster. But still, started chatting about all the old times when we were younger and played damn stupid stuff, like Survivor and "Fireman" and "Power Ranger" and parachuting with NTUC bags. Damn stupid and damn funny, one of those siblings bonding moments. First real time with family since the hols :)

Anyway, today we went out to watch 2012 and I realized how friggin short life was (bear with my revelation and journey to self discovery) and how much i need to change about my life and my outlook and stuff. That I may have been way too obsessed and blinded to LET GO of the things that were not good for me, and neglecting those that were or whatever. I'M NOT TRYING TO SOUND LIKE SOME ASSHOLE MYSTICAL DOUCHEBAG. I just wanted to say, to all my friends and family that I LOVE YOU. :D ANd i appreciate everything you've done. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. And to the people who have hurt me in the past or present or whatever, damn you, I'M OVER IT. I hope.

We went out for the P.S. I Silk You charity event by Hermes and we took two rounds. The photos haven't come out yet until Friday though. We went to Coffee Club for Chocolate Fondue and Sodas. The fondue was kind of aweome though after awhile, i think the chocolate liked slowly seeped it's way into my throat and clogged the passageway and I think Victoria got naseaus and guess where Charissa Chan was? She was scooping up the remains of the chocolate and drinking it like it was chocolate. Hahaa, fun day today, should do it again some time. :) Heehee, how have your holidays been so far? Hope it's been great.

Haha, oh man, today was super fun, even though i have like 11 blisters on both my feet and half of them have popped and my feet started bleeding and i am going to chuck my cot shoes away the moment my feet regain strength to move. :D Met atschool at 12.30 and did our buns and stuff then we went over to Esplanade! It's like so cool, they have all this security check things and Victoria Ong went past the sensors and the lady scanned her and then when the scanner went round her boobs it BEEPED! HAHAHA

HAHA. Went to watch My Girlfriends an Agent with Flo, Jamie and Ducky today :), the show was super funny. I TOLD YOU IT WOULD BE NICE YOU STUPID DUCK. Heehee. It was kind of slapstick-ly stupid yet funny at the same time. But but but, the movie was like delayed for 30 minutes so we were like sitting in the cinema annoying each other and guessing advertisements for damn long until this one girl turned to Florence and asked whether she was in the right cinema. And then after that, when we went to take neoprints, the machine died-ed on us, and the lady went to reboot it and dunno what it and brought out her cellphone and acted all "Code Red, We Have a neoprint emergency!" and cool and finally out it came. :D I'm blabbing on now, cause i honestly have nothing to say. Oh yeah, we met Fionna and Joelle there too. :D Okay, just thinking of the other movies I want to watch:

OHmyGOSH, this years costumes were SO MUCH BETTER than last years. Heehee, and more people came, definitely an improvement. :D
